The Sitka School District has received a waiver from the State to allow school meal service during the emergency school closure.
Beginning Monday, March 23 – the district is planning to distribute
- Grab-and-Go BREAKFAST and LUNCH once a day at community locations
- Meals will be FREE to all children 18 and under – regardless of school enrollment – if at least one child in the household attends SSD.
- SSD students over age 18 are also eligible. All families with an economic need are encouraged to participate.
Families can Sign up for Meals by completing a short survey online at tinyurl.com/SSDCovidNeeds or by Calling the District Office at 747-8672 from 8am to 4pm. The survey also asks for information about access to technology and school supplies, in case there is an extended closure.
