Sitka’s Nutcracker, An Alaskan Tale, will be presented December 1,2,3 at the Performing Arts Center.
This year the production takes place in Alaska. All the scenes and characters come from Alaska’s past and present. You’ll see crabs, herring, an eagle, a dragonfly, there will be a slime line, a tourist scene, can can girls, and so much more. There will also be the standards you’ve come to expect: the snow scene, the flowers, the Sugar Plum (Fireweed) Fairy, the Nutcracker himself. There is beauty and humor and fun for all ages. The performance lasts 1.5 hours. There will be a 15 minute intermission. Suitable for children of all ages – even the very young. There will be concessions at intermission – both food and gifts.
Tickets available starting November 17th at Old Harbor Books as well as at the door.
Adults – $20.00 Students/Seniors – $10.00 Children five and under free
