With the herring arrival comes Biologist Dr. Paul Hershberger from the U.S. Geological Survey Marrowstone Marine Field Station.
Dr. Hershberger will be collecting blood and tissue samples from Pacific herring as part of a long-term effort to monitor the prevalence of disease in the Sitka Sound herring. #AKResearch, #PacificHerring #fishresearch #marine #SitkaScience
