NPFMC Meets in June in Sitka

The comment period opened May 12, and the deadline for written comments is Friday, June 2 at 12pm AKT. Submitted comments will be reviewed then visible online after the deadline closes, as per the Council’s comment policy.

• The SSC will meet on June 5-7. Scientific and Statistical Committee (SSC) -The Council also receives reviews and recommendations from highly respected resource economists and biologists who are knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the fisheries of Alaska.
• The AP will meet June 6-9. Advisory Panel (AP) -The Council receives advice at each meeting from a 22-member Advisory Panel representing user groups, environmentalists, recreational fishermen, and consumer groups.
• The Council will meet June 8-11.  All meetings are open to the public, with the exception of Executive Sessions.
