The Alaska Marine Safety Education Association (AMSEA) Board of Directors is actively recruiting for an Executive Director (ED).
- Position: Executive Director. Job Type: Full-Time. Location: Sitka, Alaska. Pay: $81,120.

We are seeking an individual who is committed to and passionate about the mission, core values and longevity of our organization. The ED has overall responsibility for the fiscal and programmatic success of AMSEA, a nonprofit focused on reducing injury and death in the marine and freshwater environment through education and training. The ED is hired by, works alongside, and reports to the AMSEA Board of Directors.
Our Board invites qualified individuals to apply for this fast-paced and exciting position. Interested applicants should submit a resume, a 2-page cover letter describing interest and qualifications for the position, three professional references, and at least one writing sample that demonstrates grant writing and reporting skills. The cover letter should highlight leadership experience, connections to the maritime or fishing community, fundraising or grant writing experience and other knowledge, skills and abilities that qualify you for the position.
