NSRAA describes this position:

Assist full-time hatchery staff with routine fish culture and husbandry duties, including but not limited to feeding and rearing of juvenile salmon fry and smolts, egg-takes and spawning adult salmon, incubation of fertilized eggs, net brushing/washing/mending, assist with accurate and legible data collection, and general site/facility maintenance such as pressure washing and groundskeeping.

Willingness to work and live at remote satellite fish rearing projects will also be required. Communal housing in a “bunkhouse” setting is provided at no cost, as well as transportation between Sitka and the remote rearing site, if necessary.

Successful candidates will provide their own rain gear, boots, and transportation to Alaska at the beginning and end of the hiring period.
