Job Description

AMSEA is currently searching for a Promotions Manager/Assistant Coordinator – 30 hours/week—full time benefits. Starting pay: $27.87 per hour with built in step increases and annual cost of living increases for inflation.

Seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Promotions Manager/Assistant Coordinator who feels confident learning new systems, programs, and strategies. This position promotes AMSEA training, outreach, and marine safety research. You will be trained and supported by staff to promote AMSEA’s marine safety classes and manage public relations, memberships, social media, branding, and website design. There is room for professional growth within the organization and with our partnerships, so career seekers are encouraged. If you are interested in becoming trained as a first aid and/or marine safety instructor, this position can facilitate your role as an instructor.

Duties include:  website news updates, membership, publication design, graphics, production of AMSEA fliers/publications. Flexible hours. Fluency in Microsoft Office and design programs is desirable. Position open until filled. Read more & view job description at:  https://www.amsea.org/jobs.

The National Commercial Fishing Safety Advisory Committee will meet on Tuesday, September 26 through September 28 in Seattle, WA. The FISHSAC meeting will cover topics relating to reducing casualties and fatalities in the commercial fishing industry.
