AMSEA is conducting a Marine Safety Instructor Training Class in Sitka on September 30 – October 5 from 8am to 6pm at the Public Safety Training Academy, 877 Sawmill Creek Rd.
The cost for the class is $995. Scholarships are available for qualifying commercial fishermen, thanks to support from the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health and the U.S. Coast Guard. Register online at www.amsea.org or call (907) 747-3287.
- This class is an intensive, train-the-trainer program.
- It is recommended for anyone who wants to provide required Emergency Drill Conductor training for commercial fishermen or others who need the skills to respond quickly and effectively to an emergency.
- It prepares participants to become U.S. Coast Guard-accepted Marine Safety Instructors and is taught by experienced mariners.
