Annual Quilt Show

“Ocean Wave Quilters Annual Quilt Show” will be taking place in May at Fraser Hall on the SFAC Campus. The theme of this year’s show is, “I Never Thought…”
The show will be open for viewing from May 10th through May 19th, as follows:
- Fri May 10 – 5pm-8pm
- Sat May 11 – Sat May 18 – Daily from 10am – 5pm
- Sun May 19 – 10am-3pm
And – don’t forget – everyone is invited to the “Mother’s Day Tea” on Sunday, May 12th from Noon-4pm
Free admission and “Viewer’s Choice Voting” on quilts from all who attend the show. Winner to be announced at the closure of the show. All quilts in the show are shown for the first time.
Established in the 1980s, the Guild meets nine months out of the year and welcomes everyone regardless of skill level. The group regularly brings in teachers from out of town and hosts monthly open sewing sessions. Proceeds from an annual action plus sales from the guild’s own “Alaska’s Undercover Men Calendar” fund special projects, including college & Sitka Fine Arts Camp scholarships, and benefit cancer survivors, senior citizens and victims of violence.
