Study Sustainable Ocean Farming at UAS Sitka Campus – the 2024 Fall semester runs from August 26th to December 14th. Hands-on learning and research includes courses such as:

  • Alaska Salmon Culture
  • Intro to Mariculture
  • Fish Pathology
  • Aquaculture Internship & Lab
  • Small Vessel Operator
  • Outboard Motor Maintenance
  • Cold Water Survival

Why Sitka?  Sitka is a stronghold for Alaska aquaculture due to its pristine waters and protected coastline. Our program offers hands-on, practical occupational training, with Pacific salmon hatcheries, seaweed and shellfish hatcheries and farms in Sitka and the greater Southeast Alaska region.
